Word of the Week

Literally translating to "forest bathing," shinrin-yoku is an act I often sought refuge in long before I learned of the word. It's a method of healing for your spirit and your mind as you wander amongst the density of the trees and immerse your entire being and every one of your senses in the forest—the effluence of the streams, the birdsong, the scents of the conifers, the rustling of the branches, the softness of the moss. In your solitude, your mind and your body destress, regaining composure and healing.
